Art gels, solid gels, carving gels, and textured designs are often applied in detailed or uneven layers, which can make complete surface curing more challenging. Sealing with a compatible top coat helps ensure full polymerisation, protects the artwork, improves wear and stain resistance, and creates a smooth, non-reactive finish suitable for long-term wear. This step forms part of correct professional application and helps maintain both the integrity of the design and the comfort of the wearer.
Simply put: art gels, solid gels, carving gels, and textured products are intermediate layers, not finish layers, and are not designed to be worn exposed.
