Preps & Bases- Professional Use Only
Every nail is unique and no single formula can deliver flawless retention for every client.
Unlimited Artistry Supplies Prep and Base products are formulated for professional nail technicians and are HEMA-free across the range, designed to support correct adhesion, compatibility, and long-term wear when used as part of a professional gel system. Our current prep ranges are designed to match each system’s adhesion and flexibility needs. Using the correct prep helps ensure proper curing, strong retention, and long-term wear.
Choosing the Right System
Our prep and base products are designed to work with different gel systems and nail conditions:
Our ECO range (Purple Label) is designed to support SLIP Gel (Polygel) and can be a lighter prep system for our Liquid Slip Gel/HPMA-based builder gel.
This system provides clean preparation, balanced adhesion, and flexible bonding, making it ideal for gel systems that are designed to move naturally with the nail.
The Eco system is best suited for:
- PolyGel applications
- Flexible builder gel overlays
- Controlled structure without excessive rigidity
SLIP Gels and Liquid Slip Gels are polyurethane- and copolymer-based systems that require flex-compatible adhesion, not aggressive or rigid bonding layers.
The ECO system supports:
- improved retention
- reduced stress and lifting
- correct curing behaviour
- long-term wear with natural nail movement
- Balanced adhesion and bonding to all natural nail types.
This pairing is intentional and reflects professional formulation and application standards.
Black Label System | For Structure & Construction Gels
The Black Label system is designed to support Structure Gels and Construction Gels, which share the same high-strength gel chemistry.
This system provides strong anchoring, high rigidity, and maximum structural support, making it suitable for builder overlays, structured manicures, apex work, and enhancement services that require shape retention and durability.
Why Black Label Is Different
Structure and construction gels are formulated with a higher crosslink density and lower flexibility than polygels or liquid builders. These gels rely on a firm adhesion system to maintain structure and long-term wear.
The Black Label prep and base system is intentionally formulated to:
- create a strong anchoring layer
- support rigid gel structures
- reduce movement at the nail interface
- improve retention under higher stress

Flexible Adhesion System
Our Flexible Adhesion System is a professionally designed 3-step prep system developed to work together as one cohesive adhesion routine. Each formula has been selected to complement the next, helping to reduce surface oils, support adhesion, and create a balanced foundation layer prior to gel application. Designed for professional salon use, this system is ideal for flexible overlays, structured manicures, and modern HEMA-free service systems.
1# PREP
PREP – Dehydrate + Prep
PREP is the first step in our Flexible Adhesion System, designed to help remove excess surface oils and moisture from the natural nail prior to product application. This professional-use nail dehydrator helps create a cleaner, more balanced nail surface before adhesion products and gel systems are applied. Ideal for use before BONDER and FOUNDATION, PREP supports a more controlled and consistent salon prep routine.
Apply sparingly to the nail plate.
2# BONDER
BONDER – Enhances Adhesion
BONDER is the second step in our Flexible Adhesion System, designed to support adhesion between the natural nail and the gel system. This acid-free bonding primer helps create a thin adhesion-supporting layer on the nail plate and is ideal for clients who require additional retention support. Designed for professional salon use, BONDER works best as part of a complete prep routine before applying FOUNDATION.
Apply sparingly to the nail plate.
3# FOUNDATION
FOUNDATION – Clear Base Coat
FOUNDATION is the third step in our Flexible Adhesion System, designed to create a smooth, balanced base layer prior to gel application. This professional-use clear base coat helps form the main cured foundation between the natural nail and the enhancement system, supporting flexibility, adhesion, and long-wear performance. Ideal for use under gel overlays, structured manicures, and flexible builder systems.
*Not suitable for clients with sensitivities.
A full SDS is available for each product and is recommended for review prior to purchase.
At UAS we continuously test and refine our prep formulations to ensure optimal compatibility, adhesion, and performance across our gel ranges, because longevity starts at the foundation.

Curing Safety Notice 🔥
All UAS Gel Products are formulated for use with professional dual-wavelength UV/LED lamps operating within the 365–405 nm range.
This wavelength range is required to activate the photoinitiator systems used across our base coats, top coats, blooming gels, and functional gel products.
Always:
- Apply thin, even layers
- Cure each layer fully
- Use a compatible professional UV/LED lamp
- Correct lamp selection is essential to ensure full polymerisation, optimal performance, and safe professional use.
- Avoid skin contact and wear gloves during application.
Recommended Curing Time
- Cure each layer for 60–90 seconds in a professional UV/LED lamp (365–405 nm).
- Curing time may vary depending on:
- lamp wavelength and output (mW/cm²)
- layer thickness
- pigment density
- product type and function
- Always ensure full cure before proceeding to the next step.
