FAQ + information
AICIS Registration & Ongoing Compliance
Unlimited Artistry Supplies is registered with the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) as an introducer of industrial chemicals in Australia.
As part of our compliance responsibilities under the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, we maintain required categorisation, record-keeping and annual declaration obligations.
We are continuously reviewing and documenting the Inventory status of all chemical ingredients within our professional product range to ensure alignment with current Australian regulatory requirements.
Where clarification is required, we seek formal confirmation to ensure our records remain accurate and up to date.
AICIS registration relates to industrial chemical introduction and does not constitute product approval.
Are your products for professional use only?
Yes. All Unlimited Artistry Supplies products are designed exclusively for trained nail technicians and must be used with correct preparation, application, and curing procedures. Professional use is essential to ensure product safety and performance.
Are your products HEMA-free?
Yes. All Unlimited Artistry Supplies products are formulated without Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate (HEMA, CAS 868-77-9) unless stated otherwise on individual product listings.
HEMA-Free & Ingredient Declaration
All products supplied by Unlimited Artistry Supplies are assessed based on the manufacturer’s declared formulations and corresponding Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS).
Where products are stated as HEMA-free, this designation is based on a review of the declared ingredient compositions, confirming that Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate (HEMA) is not listed as a component of the formulation.
Ingredient information and HEMA-free claims are made based on supplier declarations and documented ingredient disclosures. Independent laboratory testing or chemical analysis is not routinely conducted, unless explicitly stated.
All products are intended for professional use only and must be applied strictly in accordance with recommended application, curing, and safety instructions. Proper professional use remains essential to minimise the risk of sensitisation or adverse reactions.
Do your products contain TPO?
Most of our products are free from banned TPO (CAS 75980-60-8). Photoinitiator systems vary by formula and are selected to meet Australian regulatory requirements.
Are all products EU or CPSR certified?
Some selected products in our range are supported by EU-permitted ingredients and CPSR certification. Other products are Australian-compliant professional formulas. EU compliance is not implied across the entire range.
Can I access SDS or MSDS documents?
Yes. Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) are available on request. Please contact us if you require documentation.
*Ingredients are listed with each listing.
Can reactions still occur?
As with all professional cosmetic products, individual sensitivities can occur. Correct use, avoiding skin contact, and full curing greatly reduce risk. ALWAYS discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Do your products soak off?
Removal methods vary depending on the product. Some formulas are soak-off capable when applied and removed correctly, while others require filing. Please refer to individual product descriptions.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Our manufacturers state that products are not tested on animals.
What is your refund or exchange policy?
We offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, or a product exchange to the same value within 30 days, in line with Australian Consumer Law. *Products must be returned prior for refund/exchange.
Why Unlimited Artistry Supplies has multiple gel polish formulas?
At Unlimited Artistry Supplies, you may notice that not all of our gel polishes share the exact same formula and this is intentional.
~
Professional gel systems are not one-formula-fits-all. Different colours, effects, viscosities, and performance goals require different chemical architectures to cure correctly, wear beautifully, and remain safe when used by trained nail professionals.
We also recognise that sensitivities vary from person to person.
What works perfectly for one nail technician or client may not suit another. By offering multiple gel polish systems (an being fully transparent with this), we are able to support a wider range of preferences, tolerance levels, application styles, and professional needs, rather than forcing everyone into a single formulation that may not be suitable for all users.
Over time, we have worked with multiple manufacturers and chemists, tested a wide range of systems, and refined our offerings as both industry knowledge and regulations have evolved. Some formulas prioritise ultra-strong adhesion, others are optimised for high-pigment colours, flexibility, soak-off behaviour, or compatibility with modern dual-wavelength lamps.
As regulations (particularly in the EU) have shifted, we have upgraded many of our formulas to align with HEMA-free, TPO-free, CPSR-certifiable systems, while recognising that some legacy professional formulas remain legal and widely used in Australia when applied correctly and responsibly.

Rather than discontinuing proven products without understanding them, we choose transparency:
●Different formulas exist by design, not by accident.
●Products are clearly categorised and described. Professional-use products are labelled as such.
●Safety depends on correct preparation, controlled application, proper curing, and minimising skin contact, not solely on an ingredient list viewed in isolation.
Our range reflects the real evolution of professional nail chemistry, not a shortcut approach. We continue to refine, upgrade, and future-proof our formulas wherever improvements are available.
•Some formulations may be more prominently featured within our range.
This is based solely on working with manufacturers who are our primary suppliers and who offer greater variety within similar formulation compositions•

⚠️ Professional Use & Sensitisation Awareness ⚠️
UV/LED gel products utilise reactive acrylate chemistry and must be applied using correct professional techniques. While compliant with Australian safety requirements and aligned with EU standards, no gel product can be considered risk-free without controlled professional application.
Improper use, including skin contact, under-curing, incorrect lamp use, or lack of protective measures - may increase the risk of skin sensitisation or allergic reactions over time, regardless of ingredient claims such as “HEMA-free”.
•
For this reason:
Our gel systems are supplied for professional use
We do not market gel products as home-use safe, “hypoallergenic”, or “allergy-free”
Correct training, curing, and protective practices (including glove use) are essential.

🔄 Transparency and Ongoing EU Transition ♥️
UAS works closely with manufacturers who are actively transitioning formulations to meet evolving EU requirements. As regulations change, formulations may be refined to maintain compliance, performance, and professional safety.
Customers are encouraged to:
Refer to current product listings for the most accurate ingredient information
Understand that regulatory alignment is an ongoing process, not a static claim.
