In our first year of supplying, I’ve learnt SO much, not only about product performance, but how products are manufactured, the standards behind them, and the responsibility that comes with supplying other nail professionals.
From the beginning, I’ve sourced from manufacturers with recognised certifications and experience within the professional nail industry. But I didn’t want to stop there.
When the TPO changes became such a huge topic, I started asking questions.
Why were certain countries affected differently? Why do regulations vary so much around the world? And what does that actually mean for us as nail techs?
The more I researched, the more I realised that while we perform essentially the same services worldwide, the requirements surrounding our products, chemistry, certification, labelling and packaging can be very different.
That led me to explore manufacturers working within some of the world’s more stringent cosmetics regulatory environments and eventually to Gel.it.up.
Rather than simply private labelling, I chose co-branding. This means I’m part of a team, with access to education, industry knowledge and mentors behind the brand.
And that’s how the UAS PRO Artistry Range came into my studio and hopefully into more Aussie salons too! 🇦🇺💅
